  • Extracting data through scraping, crawling, or automated methods without explicit permission;
  • Commercial use outside of academic collaborations, unless authorised.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All platform content, including design, software, database structures, and visualisations, are owned by or licensed to Moirai.world.
  • Academic content uploaded by users (e.g. publications, proposals, statements) remains the intellectual property of the user or relevant rights holders.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, reproduce, and display such content within the context of our academic services.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

By using Moirai.world, you consent to:

  • The collection and processing of your data for application, matching, and analytics purposes;
  • Cross-border data transfers where necessary to provide services (e.g., matching with institutions in other countries).

  • Your use of the platform causes harm to other users, institutions, or the platform’s integrity.

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using in-platform settings.

8. Disclaimers

  • The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, opportunity, or indirect damages arising from use of the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moirai.world shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • Academic decisions made based on information obtained from this platform;
  • Delays or failures due to causes beyond our reasonable control.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement.

11. Changes to the Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or within the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

e. Institutional and Recruitment Data

  • Institution or organisation name
  • Department, faculty, or role
  • Recruitment criteria and preferences
  • Application status, outcomes, and related records



f. Communications Data

  • Messages exchanged via the platform
  • Application-related communications
  • Support enquiries and correspondence



g. Technical and Usage Data

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Session timestamps and duration
  • Interaction logs, clicks, and navigation data
  • Security and access logs



h. Derived and Aggregated Data

Such derived data does not constitute automated decision-making and does not produce legal or similarly significant effects.
